Fenway Fan
Artist of Light, Transmission, and Inner Architecture
ART PHILOSOPHY
Fenway’s work explores the relationship between light, intuition, and perception — not as concepts to be explained, but as experiences to be felt.
In recent years, her artistic practice has evolved into what she calls Light Transmission Art — a process where painting becomes a living transmission of light, presence, and inner clarity. Rather than producing fixed meanings or symbolic narratives, her works open a quiet, contemplative space, inviting viewers into a gentle dialogue with themselves.
Within this space, intuition, emotion, and perception are free to unfold naturally. Each encounter becomes personal and unrepeatable, shaped by the inner state of the viewer rather than a predetermined interpretation.
Working across abstract painting, stained glass, and live creation, Fenway explores how art can move beyond visual form and function as an experiential field — one that subtly reconnects people with their inner light, offering moments of clarity, stillness, and quiet wonder.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My work explores the movement of light and consciousness through abstract form.
Each piece begins as a transmission—an intuitive attunement to subtle energetic states that unfold into color, rhythm, and spatial resonance. Rather than illustrating narrative or emotion, I listen to what emerges from the unseen and allow it to guide the creation of form.
The Refraction series traces the way light bends, disperses, and reorganizes itself—mirroring internal shifts of perception and awareness. I am interested in how art functions as a portal: a threshold where viewers encounter presence, clarity, and an intimate recognition of their own inner architecture.
While my practice intersects with concepts of energy and inner awareness, its aim is not to heal but to reveal—to create spaces in which light becomes an experience and where the boundary between the visible and invisible grows momentarily thin.
ARTIST BIO
Fenway Fan is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores light, consciousness, and inner architecture through painting, stained glass, and live transmission performance. Trained at Fudan University (BFA) and the Rochester Institute of Technology (MFA), she spent over a decade creating visual worlds for global institutions—including Disney, Hasbro, Blizzard Entertainment, and NBCUniversal—before shifting her focus toward an intuitive, energy-centered studio practice.
Her signature Refraction series translates subtle energetic states into abstract visual form, creating portals that invite viewers into presence, attunement, and recognition. Fan’s work spans physical and digital mediums, with recent expansion into immersive experiences and XR-based light installations.
Her art has been exhibited internationally at venues such as Tokyo Tower Art Fair, Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, Disney Parks, and Boston City Hall. Disney honored her as “The Grandest Vision” Artist in a global documentary celebrating creators whose work embodies imagination, emotional resonance, and visionary storytelling.
Based in Boston, Fan also founded Magic Soul House, a nonprofit art studio offering community-centered creative programs and public art experiences.
